“The Path: A Guide to Happiness” to Be Published in December

Khenchen Sherab Zangpo’s first book in English “The Path: A Guide to Happiness” will be formally released by Wisdom Publications on December 19th, 2017. Drawing on Tibetan Buddhist tradition and his own fascinating life story, Khenchen describes the way of reaching happiness through inner transformation in this wonderful book.

As “The Path” goes, Khenchen offers insight into the nature of our mind and the world around us with Buddhism’s foundational teachings on suffering, impermanence, interconnectedness and emptiness. He also explores answers to questions that all modern practitioners face: How do I decide the right teacher for me? What role does faith play in my practice? How can I deal with the reality of death?

What makes the book especially compelling is the way Khenchen blends together the timeless wisdom of Buddhism with his own compassionate appreciation of today’s life, making the teachings both close to life and practical to our daily problems. The book is fascinating to read, in part because of the way Khenchen illustrates the teachings with experiences from his own life and with endearing stories about the remarkable teachers he has met, including His Holiness Jigme Phuntsok Rinpoche.

Through lucid guidance on daily practice and the methods for cultivating a wiser and more compassionate attitude toward others and ourselves, Khenchen helps us chart the Tibetan Buddhist path to happiness with exceptional clarity, making this book a tremendous resource for both beginners and advanced practitioners.
