Venenerable Jeong-Gak Seok
Chief Priest of Kookeunsa Temple (South Korea)
Founder of Jogye-hyeneung Order of Korean Buddhism (South Korea)
Session Involved: Keynote Speech

Upholding the vow of enlightening the self and enlightening others, Master Jeong-Gak, Seok became a nun and had done a retreat in a mountain cave for 20 years. She also established the Jogye-hyeneung Order of Korean Buddism. Her sole aim is to transmiss the Zen lineage and educate disciples to propagate Buddha Dharma to the whole world and benefit all beings. In the end of January 2016, her 20-year retreat was complete. Aware of very limited ability, she was still willing to share with others.
