【参会感言】Platform for Peace

参会感言
Platform  for  Peace

First of all, I would like to thank all the organizers and co-organizers, for organizing the beautiful symposium, as well as venerable masters and academic professors for giving us the opportunity to reflect on various issues concerning peace and spirituality.

 
Working with Africans and Arabs over 10 years, I have been inclined to think the peace is, unfortunately, unachievable especially among various religious traditions as they are on the news today. However, the explanations for the way to peace given by the masters from different religious traditions provided down to earth solution to peace through Interfaith Dialogue. As I saw different religious masters were having breakfast together every morning, I truly wish this symposium will spread all over the world so that this breakfast table will be getting bigger as the time goes by.
 
Secondly, I also amazed there are so many intellectuals from all over the world to give lectures and speeches considering Buddhist Philosophy can be the best solution to peace grounded on the theory of scientific research. Besides, venerable masters of Buddhism are not only scholarly advanced, but also with profound attainment. This symposium can definitely be the platform to introduce many precious religious masters from Three Vehicles to provide us more understanding of vast ocean of Buddhism without prejudice.
 
Not only the speeches and lectures are inspirational, but also the opportunity of spiritual development was everywhere throughout symposium. I truly rejoice at the generous contribution and voluntary spirit of Chinese people. I was touched by their energy and devotion, and feel Buddhism is really flourishing. It was like a dream world where everything is contributed by volunteers with the spirit of benefiting others. I also learned Tibetans are really humble always behind everybody, which is really important as a true Buddhist. Some Westerners already done with three years solitary retreat and their understanding of Buddhism is really deep and profound. I made new friends and had new findings every day, like professors and PhD students, devoted Buddhists from all over the world, with whom I couldn’t normally associate. All the people around me were smiling and helpful, I felt through faith and sincere interaction, there is no boundary of race and nationality; therefore, the strongly felt peace can be achievable through Buddhist philosophy.
 
I wish to dedicate the beauty of this symposium to all sentient beings and wish all nationalities from all over the world have the opportunity to attend this symposium to learn academically and spiritually. May all taste the true essence of peace within us, by abandoning ego, cultivate compassion and achieve the union of emptiness and clarity.
