READING GUIDANCE

July 30, 2017 - August 2, the Seventh World Youth Buddhist Symposium will be held again in Thailand. The theme of this year is “The Way to Happiness", three sub-topics will be discussed are “Mind Exploration" "Ecological Coexistence" and “Buddhism in Life". Attendees come from all over the world will meet at the beautiful city - Chiang Mai once again; scholars, university professors and students, religious practitioners, together we will explore and share on the potent theme of “happiness”, to search the wisdom and true meaning of happiness!

  • The Sixth World Youth Buddhist Symposium

    From 12th – 15th July 2016, The Sixth World Youth Buddhist Symposium was held again in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Under the theme of THE WAY OF PEACE, intensively discussion was developed from the perspective of three respects of Theravada Buddhism, Han Buddhism and Tibetan Buddhism. Nearly 900 scholars,university professors and students will gather together in the picturesque town, Chiang Mai, and share each other’s wisdom.
  • The Fifth World Youth Buddhist Symposium

    Invited by Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University Chiang Mai Campus of Thailand, the Fifth World Youth Buddhist Symposium was held at Chiang Mai from 1st to 4th August 2015. Under the theme of Ultimate Concern, intensively discussion has been developed from three respects of Spiritual Well-being, Life and Death and Tibetan Buddhism Tradition. Over 700 scholars, university professors and students attended this grand symposium.
  • The Fourth World Youth Buddhist Symposium

    From 1st to 5th August 2014, The Fourth World Youth Buddhist Symposium was held in the Hong Kong Institute of Education. The Theme of this symposium is Social Responsibilities, which was developed with intensively discussion from Environmental Protection, Ethics and Public Interests. There are over 620 scholars and teachers and students from universities around the world have participated this event.
  • The Third World Youth Buddhist Symposium

    The Third World Youth Buddhist Symposium was held from 16th to 19th July 2013 Hong Kong Institute of Education. The Theme of this symposium is Sustainable Development, which was developed with intensively discussion from three perspectives: Dialogue of Buddhism and Other Religious; Core Value of Buddhism, and The Study and Practice System of Tibetan Buddhism.
  • The Second World Youth Buddhist Symposium

    From 2nd to 5th August2012, the Second World Youth Buddhist Symposium which lasted for 4 days was successfully held in the beautiful international metropolis—Hong Kong, with the aims of “Open, Inclusive, Seeking truth and Altruistic”, and including three subjects of Buddhism and Science, Buddhism and Spiritual Education, Tibetan Buddhism.
  • The First World Youth Buddhist Symposium

    From 10th to 16th August 2011, the First World Youth Buddhist Symposium was held in Larung Gar Five Sciences Buddhist Academy on the snow land. This symposium was sponsored by “Centre for Wisdom & Compassion Culture” and “The Youth Buddhism Academic Symposium Committee”.
